Hey Peeps,
It's Lulu Nocera here! I've created this dedicated site for all my fans who wish to stay connected and keep up with my latest updates, including concerts, merchandise, photos, blogs, videos, record releases, and more. My Facebook page has reached 5,000 friends, and I needed another "home" to bring my friends and fans together, allowing you to stay close to me and enjoy the memories and music you love.
I don't know how many of you know how my career began and is still active today, so here are a few details if you don't already know. My first release, "Summertime Summertime," was in late 1986 by Sleeping Bag Records, written and produced by me and Floyd Fisher and remixed by Mantronik. "Summertime Summertime" became an instant SMASH HIT all over US radio and Billboard charts, reaching "NUMBER ONE" on the dance chart, top 40, Pop, and R&B Billboard charts.
I was humbled by my success because it surpassed my expectations, happening so fast and hitting me quicker than I could have imagined. I knew almost immediately that I was experiencing something unimaginably amazing, and right then, I realized I was becoming an overnight success. I started to appear everywhere in the States, sometimes performing four shows per night, seven shows per weekend, in hundreds of clubs of all sizes and types—small clubs, big clubs, gay, straight, college—all over the US, and eventually abroad in Europe. I've performed in England, Holland, Germany, Canada, Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, South America, making many television appearances as well.
I first started touring in New York City and New Jersey, in clubs such as Roseland, Area, The Saint, Palladium, Roxy, Heart Throb, Copacabana, and Studio 54 (before it closed down and became the new "Ritz")—just to name a few. My second release was "Let's Go," mixed by Little Louie Vega, followed by the release of my album "Over The Rainbow." "Let's Go" had a similar success as "Summertime Summertime," only this time we had a video that took us to MTV, with a special appearance at "Club MTV" hosted by Downtown Julie Brown. My music career has been and still is an amazing experience, a roller coaster ride, the amazing journey of my life.
Warm Regards, Lulu Nocera :)
